{travel} fall in love every day

I have always been a proud tourist. I don't ever want to stick out like a sore thumb, but I love visiting the "must see" sights. There is something magical about finally seeing something in person that you have dreamed about but have only seen in other people's pictures.

Spain's Palacio Real (Royal Palace)

Templo de Debod in Parque del Oeste

However, the real beauty about living in Madrid is wandering around the city aimlessly, and falling in love with something new in every single turn. Whether it is a beautiful old building, a traditional Spanish tapas bar, a modern fusion restaurant, a cafe, dogs wearing sweaters & scarves, fashionable Spaniards, a random set of old stairs in a park, an unexpected spectacular view, or street art, I find myself constantly in awe of the fact that..... I live here.

San Francisco el Grande Basilica in La Latina

The view from the gardens of the Basilica

An incredible tapas and wine bar we went to today.
We were the only English speakers in the entire place. This is always a good sign... ;)

Dog scarves are the best.

Constantly taking in the beauty around me.

Have you ever wandered around a city and fallen in love?

  2. Yes! Vienna. I could sit in a little coffee shop there all day.

  3. I lived just 2 blocks from San Francisco el Grande Basilica in La Latina! I would sit in the gardens and read often, its such a perfect little spot. I am loving all your Spanish posts, can't wait to read more!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I love hearing from y'all! <3 Jen
