{life} according to instagram

Happy, happy new year my friends. I'm 8 days late, but better than never right?!

My life has been a little crazy as of late. I flew home to Florida on December 4th and got my wisdom teeth out on December 5th. Then it was off to my brother's wedding a week later, and Christmas a week after that. The day after Christmas I got back into my traveling groove by going on the best road trip evaaa with my sweet boyfriend. Then it was NYE with friends & back to Madrid on the 3rd. EEK!

You think it would slow down a bit once I got back to my current home base, right? Except I had moved out of my apartment at the beginning of December so I wouldn't have to pay December rent while I was in America, so I had to apartment hunt right away. Luckily, I found the perfect apartment the day after I arrived. My life has been consumed with unpacking and decorating and food shopping and oh yeah, starting work again.

So now you know why my little blog has been very neglected. I have so much catching up to do. I haven't even blogged about my trip to Prague in November yet.... I suck.

Enjoy some beautiful photos of my new barrio (neighborhood) and other scenes from life lately.

Saying goodbye-

Welcome back brunch - cafe con leche and a jamon bocadillo:

Beautiful calles y plazas.

More food, and some wine for good measure.

I love my new flat!

Celebrating an FSU NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.... Spain style. We may have had to watch the game from 2:30 AM - 6:00 AM on a tiny computer screen while sitting on the floor, and we may have drank wine and eaten olives and cheese instead of drinking beer and eating burgers and fries, but we stuck it out. GO NOLES!

I hope you are having a wonderful year so far.

  1. That sucks that you immediately had to move after coming back! I just got back to Madrid on Monday and am still waaaay too jet-lagged to accomplish anything. You're a champ. Hope you love your new barrio!

  2. I am impressed that you could squeeze all of that into such a small time frame, congrats on that, lady! Another big congrats to your Seminoles for winning the BCS! I'm so happy that a non-SEC team FINALLY kicked some butt (although it was definitely a nail biter until the end)!
